In April 2025, the CA/B Forum adopted a proposal to shorten the validity period of SSL Certificates: starting from March 15, 2026, the maximum validity period of all SSL Certificates will be shortened to 200 days; after March 15, 2029, it will be further shortened to 47 days. The specific time plan is as follows:
